David J. Stana, CPP, CTS, ASE (Retired)
With a degree in automotive technology, management, and an ASE certification (Retired), along with being a certified photographer from Professional Photographers of America, David brings a different perspective to photographing auto racing.
David started photographing auto racing back in those great Formula One days of Watkins Glen with racers like Emerson Fittipaldi and Jackie Stewart. David was also involved in covering the PVGP in those early years. He then relocated to Frisco, TX and has been away from the joys of the PVGP for some time. But now he is back and has been covering the race consecutively for the last three years. He is now shooting stills and motion with a cinematic style and producing DVD programs on the PVGP and its drivers along with offering limited edition prints. Check out his new style of shooting and a new released DVD on his web site www.silverstarpictures.NET.
David has received many international awards for his work including four Telly Awards, Matrix Award, Nikon Response and Recognition Award (Photography has been displayed in the New York Museum of Modern Art) Natural Color Camera Club Slide of the Year Award and many more.
